ABOUT IBSAA |

Purpose: The purpose of this organization shall be to engage in activities which: 1. Assist the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in providing quality educational and social services to its students and parents; 2.Assist in the preservation of the history of IBSSS; and 3. Conduct annual meetings and schedule reunions as appropriate and to assist in accomplishing the two above-mentioned purposes. |

The Education Committee of IBSAA is currently working on fundraising efforts to establish a scholarship award to be made available to any student in Iowa who is blind or visually impaired. Funds will also establish an achievement award for students who attend on campus services at IBSSS. Plans are currently underway for the 2008 all school reunion to be held June 6-8 at the campus Of the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in Vinton Iowa. Membership: Any interested person over the age of 18 who is not a current student or receiving services from IBSSS may become a member of this organization. |

Annual Alumni Membership |

|
Consist of persons who are 18 years of age or older and who have attended or been served by IBSSS, including current and former staff. members who are present at business sessions of the Association shall have the privilege of the floor in all discussions, may make or second motions, and shall be entitled to one (1) vote except at meetings of the Board of Directors. |
